Calcium-Induced Exposure of Hydrophobic Surface in Calmodulin N-Domain




This slide shows Connolly surface for both apo and calcium-loaded calmodulin N-terminal domain. Hydrophobic residues are highlighted. PDB coordinates are 1CFC (apo calmodulin) and 1CLL (calcium-loaded calmodulin). It is a color version of figure 7 from the "Calmodulin as a calcium sensor" chapter.


This figure was created for a slide in february, 1997.

There is also a similar black and white picture, which also shows the C-terminal domain of calmodulin.
