A couple of things to quickly try.
1) Change &end to / some compilers don't like the &end to end a namelist.
2) Check your file is in unix format and not dos. Try opening it with vi and
take a look at the bottom of the screen as it opens, does it say Dos? You
can use dos2unix to convert it to unix if required.
