Dear Amber users

I am having problems installing the leap components of amber8 on a Xeon
EM64 processor running suse linux 9.2 with intel compiler
l_fce_pc_8.1.025.

I used the following configure command: ./configure -p4 -static ifort

When performing "make install" everything compiles fine except for
leap. I have tried many of the suggestions in the archive, and made
sure that I have the full up to date suite of X11 packages.

All manner of compilation errors are given, but the ones mentioned
below represent the range:

MapAg.c:131: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
WcCreate.c:323: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
cLateBind.c:394: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
data.c:289: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
XpmCrBufFrI.c:138: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
3d.c:393: warning: comparison is always false due to limited range of
data type
conflicts: 6 shift/reduce
(The warning 'conflicts: 6 shift/reduce' is normal)
xaUnitEditor.c:282: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
xaAtomTable.c:636: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size
cannot find -lXt
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [xaLeap] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/amber8/src/leap/src/leap'
make: *** [install] Error 2

Is there anyway round this problem?

many thanks in advance

hayden
