This works fine our our IP32 machines, so I can't debug it. If anyone on the
list has access to this sort of machine, they might try to pitch in. Iam
forwarding this to Roberto Gomperts at SGI as well -- maybe he has a good
idea.

Sorry for replying late. Regarding the problem with the installation of
Amber8/antechamber on our SGI workstation, the OS is IRIX64 version
6.5.21m. The SGI compilers is MIPSpro Compilers: Version 7.4.
