Dear all,
I tried to compile amber7 on our new Xeon 64 bit machine. Leap gave a
problem:
*******************************************************************
../Xraw/libXrawLeap.a: could not read symbols: Memory exhausted
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [xaLeap] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/amber7/src/leap/src/leap'
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/amber7/src/leap'
make[1]: *** [World] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/amber7/src/leap'
make: *** [install] Error 2
********************************************************************
I checked the file "libXrawLeap.a". Only first two lines can be read:
***************************************************************
!<arch>
/ 1100887939 0 0 0 5444 `
****************************************************************
Configurationof the machine is:
dual xeon processor 3.60Hz (64bit)
8G DDR2 ECC memory
OS: RH Enterprise Linux WS
Is there any suggestion to solve this problem? Thank you very much in
advance.
Shawn
