AMBER Archive (2004)Subject: AMBER: multiple messages on the amber reflector

Hello,
We have erected a filter to prevent multiple messages.
Any message that already contains the regular expression
^The AMBER Mail Reflector
that is, 'The AMBER Mail Reflector' at the beginning of a line,
will NOT be posted to the list.
Since some email programs do not mangle the original text in a
reply or especially in a forwarded message,
posters must now clean up their messages to remove the old four
line footer (note that I inserted 'mangled>' to bypass the filter):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
mangled>The AMBER Mail Reflector
To post, send mail to amber_at_scripps.edu
To unsubscribe, send "unsubscribe amber" to majordomo_at_scripps.edu
Of course, it has always been good netiquette to prune footers,
signatures, and other irrelevant content.
Sincerely,
Amber Admin

Folks:
It is a law of nature that mailing list glitches always happen on (US)
holidays....We apologize for the multiple postings, and are trying to track
these down. Please just be patient, and hit the <delete> key in your
mail reader a lot. :-)
...regards...dave case
