I also installed xmgrace on cygwin several weeks ago, but when I ran it,
nothing happened. Finally I figured out how to run xmgr in cygwin and the
following is the solution.
(1) After you install xmgrace, exit cygwin
(2) In windows, click 'start', choose 'Run...', type 'cmd',
(3) In the cmd window, go to the cygwin/bin directory and type 'ash'
(3) In ash window, type 'rebaseall'. It may take a little while to finish.
(4) start cygwin and then start x-window by typing 'startxwin.bat'. Run
xmgrace in the x-window.
You only need to do once. It works fine for me.
Good luck
