Subject: AMBER: gfortran/gcc versus ifort/icc

We recently compiled amber 9 on one of our machines (4 CPU itanium).
For convenience, we used gfortran/gcc. After some minor fiddling with
compiler flags, it worked.

Are there any data comparing speeds between gfortran/gcc and
ifort/icc? If there are not data, are there opinions?
