You should certainly try the fix suggested by Andreas. However, please check
the test cases carefully. At the time the amber9 was released, the gfortran
compiler was just starting to be able to build sander, and was in a rapid
state of flux. So, the developers don't know much about which particular
versions of gfortran will work and which will fail.

If people with experience with gfortran and amber9 wish to post information
about their experiences (please give the exact version number), that would be
appreciated.
