HI,

Please download l_fce_pc_8.1.029.tar.gz or later version from intel
website. Please note that you need "fce" not "fc".

I hope this will solve the problem.

Subject: AMBER: compilation of amber8 on Xeon x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux. .

Dear Amber users,

I have been trying to compile amber8 on a 64bit machine with Xeon
processors. I have tried with both gcc and icc as the C compiler. I
have got the most built with configure -p4 -static ifort. however it
does not build Xleap. When i go to the test directory and do make test
most of the tests fail with a segmentation fault. I comment out the bad
test from the Makefile and do make test again and I can tell you that
the only ones that do not give errors are Run.nonper, Run.nonper.belly,
Run.nonper.belly.mask, Run.cap (possible failure), Run.nonper.nocut,
Run.pol_wat, Run.ubiquitin, Run.dna_pol, and Run.pdpgb (possible
failure). The others all fail with a SIGSEGV error with the exceptions
of Run.dmp, Run.adenine and Run.nonper.min (and the nmode tests) which
just say Segmentation fault (core dumped), and Run.tgtmd (in all
directories), and Run.trajene which say if: Expression Syntax. I think
there were many warnings in the output when i did make serial, so I
guess its just not compiling properly. How can i get it to work please,
i have been trying to compile this for over a week now.

Thank you in advance for your consideration,

Frustrated
