 I need to let you know that compiling AMBER 8 in windows is more time consuming than compiling it in Linux. What don't you try installing AMBER8 in Linux? It is a lot easier I would suggest that you get a copy of Linux_SUSE v9 or v10 and intel Fortran compiler v 8 (ifort8). ifort8 is free of charge.
