Subject: AMBER: About the limitation of characters on one line in carnal input fi le

Hi, all:

I just wanted to calculate the average structure of my four trajectory files
using carnal.
And I got a segmentation fault error of carnal.

At last, I found the reason that the number of characters(about 100
characters) on
 one line exceeded 80 because of my long directory. Amber manual said that
it
would be best not to exceed 80 characters for one line. But I found I
could input
97 characters(at most I think) on one line and the carnal calculation passed
through.

What is the limitation of character number for carnal input file?

Many thanks in advance!

Sincerely yours
Ming
