On the IBM, the standard namelist terminators (&end) do not work by
default; to get around this you can either:

(1) set an environment variable to use the more standard namelist convention
    (in csh/tcsh)

        setenv XLFRTEOPTS namelist=old

(2) or replace the " &end" with a " /"
