The farg.f that I compiled in src/sander before I compiled sander is:

      integer function mpir_iargc()

      mpir_iargc = IARGC()
      return
      end

      subroutine mpir_getarg( i, s )
      integer i
      character*(*) s
      external GETARG
      call GETARG(i,s)
      return
      end
