Chris Brown asked about an unmatched quote error. If one can trust the
presentation of plain text e-mail (a wildly optimistic assumption),
then I think the problem is just the line breaks in the MACHINE file
definitions of L1, L2, and L3. Those (all) definitions need to be made
as a single line. Alternatively, a continuation character (backslash)
preceeding the line break should work - that might be easier in the face
of overzealous editing tools.
