        I just received an error from Sander that reads:
        
                Too many atoms for 16 bit pairlist - Recompile without ISTAR2
        
        Were is this variable located. . .in the Makefile??? ...

It is in the machine file. Delete -DISTAR2 from the MACHINEFLAGS
line, do a 'Makeclean' and re-make.
