UPDATE: As of Fall 2006, I have defended and am now performing computational outreach services for the Center for Structural Biology. My dissertation was titled: Probing functional diversity of EF-hand calcium-binding proteins through mutant design and structural analysis
I'm a Ph.D. student in the Lab of Walter Chazin, at Vanderbilt University. Before starting graduate school, I worked as a technician for ten years, most recently in Vanderbilt's Cell Imaging Core Lab.
As of Fall 2003, I've completed the first year's IGP (Interdisciplinary Graduate Program), done research rotations in 3 labs, and picked the Chazin lab, and thus the Biochemistry department, for my thesis work. I have finished my formal classwork, and passed my Phase I (prelims) and Phase II (qualifying) exams, which made me officially a Ph.D. candidate, and I am starting my 4th year of school.

I'm a molecular biophysics trainee in the structural biology center, studying calcium-binding proteins via NMR, towards a degree in biochemistry. |
