We are pleased to announce that the 38th Southeastern Magnetic Resonance Conference will be held November 6-8, 2009 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee. The SEMRC has a long history of bringing together leading scientists to discuss the latest developments in NMR, EPR, and MRI. Particular emphasis is placed on activities in the region. In order to continue that tradition, we are working on a scientific program that will highlight groundbreaking research and foster the open exchange of ideas in all of these areas. This year's host, Vanderbilt University, has become a hotbed of magnetic resonance research with internationally recognized programs in NMR, EPR, and MRI. We hope you agree that Vanderbilt University and Nashville - Music City USA - will be an attractive venue for the upcoming SEMRC and we are very pleased to host this outstanding event.
The SEMRC is held every year and rotates among various locations in the southeastern United States. The 2008 conference was hosted at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, along with Florida State University, as was the case in the years 1995, 1999 and 2003. The 2007 SEMRC was hosted by The University of Alabama and held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
