calmodulin
isoform 1
mutant:
  • Q41C
  • K75C
Homo sapiens
(human)
This mutant forms a disulfide bond that prevents helices I and II of the N domain from moving apart. It fully recovers activity when the disulfide bond is reduced and the cysteines blocked by carboxyamidomethylation

calmodulin
isoform 1
mutant:
  • I85C
  • L112C
Homo sapiens
(human)
This mutant forms a disulfide bond that prevents helices III and IV of the C domain from moving apart. This mutant shows decreases Ca2+ affinity in the C domain binding loops, as followed by intrinsic tyrosine fluorescence. It partially recovers activity when the disulfide bond is reduced and the cysteines blocked by cyanylation
