Hi,

Your script is mostly correct. But you should not use PERL synatx in CSH
script. I suggest you use the following statement to replace your PERL
synatx.
====== Your PERL syntax ===
  $filename=<STDIN>
  chop($filename);
===========================

====== The corresponding CSH syntax =====
set filename = $<
=========================================
