As long as you have a fortran 90 and c compiler available there should be no
porting required. You may just need to tweak the config.h file that
configure creates in order to match your compiler's flags. Use the config.h
file produced by:

./configure -p4 ifort

as a template to work from.

Have you tried building AMBER 8 on this system? If you come across problems
please email me the details and I'll see if I can help.
